Geometry and Form
Objectives of Project
1. To explore different approaches of generating ideas thorough rigorous design processes through workshop-based learning.
2. To explore various approaches in translating ideas, design translation and interpretation.
3. To explore varied forms of design principles in communication and expression of self and its sense.
4. To enhance ability in designing three-dimensional design and translated to diagrams.
STAMPS AND MODELS
We were to complete 2 models starting by creating a geometric stamp or the tattoo and later transform it into a 3D model. In groups, student will have to decide on their selections of architectural design elements and principles. This is a workshop-based exercise, work is to be done during tutorials and to have discussion within the group and to be led by the tutors.
REFLECTION
I was quite lost at the beginning because I was in the first year of my architecture course however my teammates and tutors are very kind and helpful and with them I was manage to complete my project 1 successfully and I have learn to produce design concepts through the process of exploring various sources and abstracting ideas. I also learn to identify key architectural design elements and principles and employ them in creating an architectural composition that demonstrates space-making.
