• The ability to translate the analysis into architectural diagrams
• The ability to create basic architectural compositions of solids, planes, lines and frames
Project 2
OBJECTIVES
• To encourage your thinking and discussion about space(s) and its qualities through architectural conceptualisation - Architectural design intentions and objectives.
• To show the importance of using the art of crafting and making: drawing(s) and model(s) as a critical design tool in the design process.

LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THIS ASSIGNMENT
• The ability to design a simple structure through the use of architectonics.
• The ability to demonstrate a basic level of understanding of materiality and detailing as means to capture experiential qualities of the design.
Project 3
OBJECTIVES The objectives of this project are:
• To introduce the notions of concepts, program and process in architectural design
• To introduce students to the understanding of user specific design requirements
• To introduce the notions of space, form and function in architectural design
• To introduce awareness of site-specific design and the process of site analysis
LEARNING OUTCOMES
-
Interpret and analyse simple site context Interpret and analyse users’ characters and needs in relation to the design of a small structure
-
Design a simple building type that meets user requirements and respect site context that balances both internal (architectural spaces/layout/circulation) and external (aesthetics and forms) design values.
