Project 1
We were to complete 2 models starting by creating a geometric stamp or the tattoo and later transform it into a 3D model. In groups, student will have to decide on their selections of architectural design elements and principles. This is a workshop-based exercise, work is to be done during tutorials and to have discussion within the group and to be led by the tutors.
Project 2
We were to further our understanding of the design elements and principles, processes and approaches in generating ideas, developing design and translating it from geometry into form. We have to produce a structure that is 1 to 1 scale which will fit us inside and also to ensure that we are fit and have a good amount of space when we were in it
Final Project
We have to apply and further explore design elements and principles in creating spatial qualities to capture narrative. We are required to interpret and represent our tectonic structure. We were to further continue research on anthropometry and ergonomics to enhance the emphasis on your chosen banal action. Then we have to create a spatially sensorial experience in your design to anticipate and accommodate users’ needs and emotions. We also have to understand materiality (concrete, timber, glass/translucent/transparent, steel, fabric) and apply it to you design to capture the sensorial and spatial experience. Finally to create diagrams (tattoo stamps) to highlight the key themes/main ideas of our design.
